Pairing a light to a new Smart Hub (when the old Hub is dead)
Follow the steps below to factory reset and pair an existing smart light (CL5B22/CL5DW/CL5E27) to a new Smart Hub (COCBH) after the original Hub has failed and been replaced.
You must perform the pairing action (Step 6 below) within a few seconds of turning the light back on.
Step 1: Prepare for Pairing
Locate the Change Bridge option
- Nexus or Nano controller — go to Device Config → Change Bridge. Keep this screen open for the next steps.
- Nova controller — go to Menu → Settings → System ID Number → Change Bridge. Keep this screen open for the next steps.
- iZone Home app — go to Menu → Account → System ID → Change Bridge. Keep this screen open for the next steps.
Power off the light
- Turn the light off at the physical wall switch.
- Leave it off for a minimum of 60 seconds.
Step 2: Factory Reset and Pair
- Power on — turn the light on at the physical wall switch. The light should immediately switch to a cool white colour.
- Act fast — as soon as you see the cool white colour, immediately go to your controller/app and select the Change Bridge option located in Step 1. You only have a few seconds once the light is turned on to start the factory reset/pairing sequence.
- Verify reset — the light should start flashing red, confirming it has been factory reset and is now in pairing mode, ready to connect to the new Hub.
If the Light Doesn't Go Cool White
If the light does not switch to cool white when powered back on:
- Leave the light on for at least 15 minutes.
- Turn the light off at the wall switch, then power it on again.
- Return to Step 1 above and repeat the full process.
If the light still does not enter pairing mode after this, contact your installer or iZone Technical Support on 08 6556 6415 and press 3 for Technical Support.
