CDTS Troubleshooting

Applies to: CDTS (In-Duct Temperature Sensor)


CDTS not showing temperature in the app or on screen

The supply air temperature reading is absent or shows dashes.

Steps to resolve:

  1. Check the RJ11 cable is seated in the CDTS port on the C225 — not a zone damper port
  2. Try a different RJ11 cable to rule out a cable fault
  3. The sensor may take up to 60 seconds after power-on to appear
  4. Confirm the CDTS is installed upstream of all zone dampers in the supply air duct — if installed downstream of a closed damper it may read ambient temperature incorrectly

CDTS reading seems inaccurate

The supply air temperature reading does not match expected values.

Steps to resolve:

  1. Confirm the sensor probe is fully inserted into the duct and securely clamped
  2. Ensure the sensor is positioned upstream of all zone dampers so it measures conditioned air, not return/mixed air
  3. Allow a few minutes for the reading to stabilise after the AC unit starts
